Position Purpose:
In this direct-to-client sales role, you’ll play a pivotal part in growing our business by engaging with prospective clients, closing contracts, and ensuring a seamless sales experience. With comprehensive training, warm leads provided, and a competitive compensation plan, you’ll have all the tools you need to thrive in this role.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects.
Conduct consultations, prepare estimates, and present proposals tailored to client needs.
Close sales contracts with a focus on meeting or exceeding targets.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure client satisfaction from start to finish.
Represent Bright Side Painting with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive package designed to reward your performance and growth:
Base Salary: $40,000 annually, paid weekly

Commercial Painting Estimator
Are you a motivated, goal-oriented professional with a passion for connecting with clients and driving business growth? Bright Side Painting of Jacksonville is looking for an In-Office Commercial Painting Estimator to join our team.
About the Role:
Bright Side Painting of Jax is seeking a Commercial Estimator to join our growing team. This is a full-time, in-office role focused on managing the estimating process from RFP intake through proposal submission. This is not a sales position — this role is responsible for building accurate, organized, and competitive bids that set projects up for success. We are looking for someone with commercial estimating experience who can step in, take ownership of the bid pipeline, and operate in a structured, high-accountability environment.
Responsibilities:
Estimating & Takeoffs
- Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for commercial painting and coatings projects
- Perform digital takeoffs using TogalAi, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar software
- Develop labor and material pricing based on production rates and job conditions
- Review plans and specifications to fully understand scope
Bid Management
- Review and qualify incoming RFPs and bid opportunities
- Manage and maintain the bid tracker (deadlines, priorities, status)
- Organize all plans, specs, and addenda for each project
- Own the estimating pipeline from intake to submission
Proposal Development
- Build clear, professional proposals with defined scope
- Communicate inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions
- Submit bids on time and in alignment with requirements
- Provide value engineering options when applicable
Proposal Development
- Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks as needed
- Communicate with general contractors, vendors, and internal team
- Coordinate clean handoff to project management after award
Tracking & Improvement
- Track bid results (awarded vs. lost)
- Analyze trends to improve estimating accuracy and win rate
- Maintain and improve estimating templates and processes
What Success Looks Like
- Accurate, complete bids
- Consistent on-time submissions
- Clear scopes with minimal post-award issues
- Organized and predictable bid pipeline
- Strong alignment with operations team
Compensation and Benefits:
$55,000–$75,000 base salary (based on experience)

Requirements:
2–5+ years of commercial estimating experience (painting or related trade preferred)

Clear communication and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license
Preferred but not required:
Experience with commercial painting and coatings
Experience with bid platforms (BuildingConnected, ConstructConnect, Compass, PlanHub, etc.)
Knowledge of epoxy or specialty coatings
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Work Environment
Full-time, in-office role. This position will require occasional job walks and pre-bid meetings. We have a team-oriented and structured environment.
